Getting Real.
First, we get real with ourselves and with each other. To begin this adventure, we want to cultivate a safe environment where everyone can grow. Starting there, our students are able to continue being shaped by each other, by God's word, and by His living and active presence.
Getting the Word.
We teach ourselves through the inductive Bible study method, which brings the Bible to life. Students study each New Testament book, examining closely the historical settings, literary styles, main ideas, repeated themes, etc. and through that, they discover the relevant truth that applies to us today. Learning more about who God is and what his word says, students are able to take that truth and do something with it... seeing transformation happen in their own lives and in the broader spheres of church and society.
Getting It Done.
We don't want to just be hearers of the word, but doers of it (James 1:22-25). We want to take what we learn and do something with it... bringing truth to the streets. We'll give food to the hungry, evangelize the lost, love on the hurting, minister to the broken, pray for the sick, speak life to the hopeless, bring freedom to the addict... only imagination can limit us. Following Christ is both practical and spiritual, so students will walk both out and see change happen in themselves and in the world around them. They will daily witness the kingdom breaking through and experience real joy in being proactive life-changers. But we saved the best for last: A one-month overseas outreach where students will fully live out the Christian adventure. Bringing everything they've learned about Christ and everything they've become in Him, they will step out in faith and see God meet them there. It is here that they will discover they're far more equipped than ever before to handle whatever this life throws at them.
